Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

So off we went. Five girls off to Tucson, AZ. We met at Mary and Trystanna's and packed into Shannon's camry. We got to our motel and loved our "suite." Totally not what we were expecting but good enough for a night :) Then we researched where to go to eat, since we were all STARVING! My brother Nathaniel used to live there so he suggested El Charro but the one on Court Avenue because thats the best one. Look how cute!
The menu was HUGE and we all got something different and everything was DELICIOUS!
I got the Bandero Trio,

Meghan got some enchilada plate and then we shared. YUMMMM!

The waiter was really great too, took so much time explaining things trying to get the best thing for our liking and then took pictures for us.

So stuffed to the brim, we headed to another destination my brother recommended Something Sweet. Where they have desserts and tons of games, just a cool hangout spot. Me, Meghan, and Trystann were in the backseat keeping it hot.

Shannon was being a great driver, never speeding, and for this drive mary was the navigator/dj.

So Mary and Shannon are off sugar right now, so Mary had some tea, in a cute little pot.

Despite being full, I love sweets, so I jumped up and down for a bit before going in and then ordered the Cookies n Cream pie. Super cute set-up.

Trystann had the Oreo, mint pie, also cute decor.

We pause for Meghan and Shannon studying these Mensa cards, being oh-so smart.

Meghan had the NewYork Cheesecake, since she's from upstate New York.

To be completely honest, mine and Trystann's were good, not out of this world, just good. Meghan's was TOTALLY not NY Cheesecake and since the guy asked why she only ate a bite and she was honest, she didn't have to pay. That was nice of them. Though the desserts were only okay, the place was really cute and we spent awhile there playing games. Then we headed back to our motel. Where we read bridal magazines, showered, and got ready for bed. The next morning we got up and ready and took a quick pic before leaving. Yes I wore those pink, sponge curlers to bed.

And I still had them on when we got to Kartchner Caverns. If you look closely I pulled my hoodie over my head to try and cover them.

No pics were allowed at the Caverns, they are PRISTINE which was emphasized over and over again. The caverns were really cool to see, but the tour guide was a bit too controlling and long-winded. And the humidity is super high, so all my hard work and pretty curls were pretty much gone by the time we got out. My friend has a picture with the curl but I don't have it yet. Then we went to this Church called San Xavier which was built in 1972. It was sooo awesome, its south of Tucson a bit and surrounded by nothing.

The details were impressive.

And I really loved the white ceilings, it was just so beautiful.

There was so much to look at and I LOVE how this picture turned out.

Just so much.

I also love pics where you hold the camera and take it yourself and this one I think turned out great.

I love photography and I'm constantly trying to improve and take more artistic photos. I loved this one with the light.

This one was in color accent and I think it looks amazing and old and BEAUTIFUL.

Then we drove back to Phoenix. We were exhausted but we had so much fun. As soon as I got home though I had to rush up north of phoenix to see one of my best friend's Ang (funny story, she lives in Tucson and I in Phoenix and I went down and she came up this weekend, luckily she was staying the whole weekend.) I met her and a couple of her friends and visited while they ate, I was too hot to be hungry. Then we went to a movie, Soul Surfer, suuuuper cute, I love true stories and they used so many details from the girl's life, it was sweet and uplifting. Then Ang told me she was spending the night at my place, haha. She forgot she hadn't discussed this with me earlier. But I was totally happy with that. So we came home and stayed up even later talking. Very little sleep this weekend and sooo much fun.

  1. My you are quite the little traveler! Living it up and having a great time, isn't that what life is all about. I'm glad you have had a chance to spend time with so many good friends. We are excited to see you this weekend!
