So one my best friend's Ang had her birthday, she is exactly 3 months younger than I. And she has been wanting to go to a water park for like 3 summers now. So I told her for her birthday this year, July 15th I would take her. But with work being 'busy' (I am beginning to hate that word) and with it being a Friday afternoon, I was late leaving and traffic was a NIGHTMARE! Due to my tardiness, she and her other friends went in and I didn't even get to buy her ticket as her birthday present! I was a bit sad about that. Plus by the time I got there I was super frustrated from the traffic. I tried to pump myself up and we did a few rides. But my exhaustion from work and the drive definitely got to me. In addition to that, SHOCKINGLY for an Arizona summer night, it was cold. I did a waterpark last summer and was totally fine the whole night, but this time, I got freezing and a headache came on pretty quick. I couldn't get in the cold water anymore because I knew the headache would just get worse. So I waited at the bottom of rides and tried to catch shots of them coming down. I love photography and I still wanted to spend Ang's birthday with her, so I combined both and tried to get cool shots. The one below, if you look near the top of the six slides, had what looked like brothers racing to the bottom.
This one looks, kind of creepy and yet cool. Ang is the one in front. She was having a blast, despite the FRIGID water. The utter glee on her face was there the ENTIRE night.
This one was me being bored, while waiting and taking a picture of my new cute flip flops and my super cute pedicure.
I had to get at least one photo of me and the birthday girl. I feel like this picture perfectly captured my exhaustion and headache, while trying to still be fun.
I did have a good time, being able to see Ang is always worth it. I just wish I could have not been so tired. I used to be able to go non-stop, but this last year of a real job I feel like is aging me too quickly. But thanks for letting me tag along Ang! Next time will be even more awesome, I promise.
