Yep got the certificate to prove it. I am an officially licensed Certified Public Accountant, or certified publicly awesome. Yes, I am a nerd. I have been working to attain this certificate for several years. I knew as a Junior in high school I was going to get my CPA so after 5 years of school, a bachelors and a masters degree, the CPA exams (a couple tries on the Audit and FAR ones), a bunch of fees and paperwork. Today, September 1st during my lunch break, I walk into some tiny side room of an office building downtown, write another check and a secretary hands me a plain envelope with the certificate inside and gives me the weakest congratulations. All that work, they should have had a marching band, balloons, confetti, streamers! A gigantic cake with sparklers! I should have ridden down the street on the back of a convertible giving my best queen wave! But I got in my Honda Civic hit a million red lights on my way back to work and stayed bent over in my cubicle for another eight hours. That is the life of a CPA. It is all I dreamed it would be :)

Billable Hours
So when talking about work and the billable hours they require, I have to explain that billable means I can code my time to a client and charge them. They don't care how long I'm actually at the office, they only care about how many hours I can actually charge the client for. So right now they are requiring 55 billable, but that usually ends up being 65 hours total. So then I get asked what things are unbillable. Well goingconcern.com (all things accounting) made quite the complete list of what unbillable time is composed of...
I am guilty of at least half the list. So I found this hilarious, but maybe its just because I'm an accountant and a nerd :)
