One Year Older & Wiser Too!

Happy Birthday to me! Okay so I was asking a friend how to celebrate my birthday alone and one piece of advice he gave me was don't expect ANYTHING.  He also told me to go to eat somewhere I've wanted to try.  So as I walked into work I told myself, "don't expect anything." And honestly I didn't from work, but to my surprise and GREAT enjoyment I found this:

Pennies all over the desk and quarters all over the monitors.  All are face up, no bad luck for me! The post-its say "Happy Birthday from __" and a coworkers name.  And there is a sexy fireman on the laptop telling me he'll cover lunch.  Exactly what I needed ;)

It was the PERFECT start to my day. Followed by a lunch of delicious tacos, leaving work at 5:30 the earliest time in 3 months, and dinner at Culinary Dropout with my brother Matthew and his wife. I finished the day with a delightful conversation with my dear friend Erica and two slices of cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory.  I HIGHLY recommend the chocolate coconut creme FANTASTICNESS.  Seriously my day was perfect!  And no there was no inside joke in the office about money, just a silly way to say Happy Birthday and I loved it.  Thank you to everyone who was a part of it.
